Description & Routing
With this three-day luxury safari you will visit three of the most famous national parks in Tanzania’s northern safari district. First you will visit Tarangire National Park, best known for its large herds of elephants. On the second day you will visit the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact crater in the world. Finally, you will visit Lake Manyara National Park, where pink feathers flutter by the big lake.

Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Departure towards Tarangire National Park with packed lunch, approx. 4.5 hours drive from Moshi/2 hours drive from Arusha to Tarangire. On arrival you will be introduced to an armed shooter who will take you on the guided hiking safari of a duration of approx. 1.5-2 hours. This tour gives you the opportunity to see the nature and wildlife of the national park in a completely different way. After this hiking safari, the safari will continue, via your safari vehicle, further into Tarangire National Park, famous for its large population of elephants. In the late afternoon you will leave Tarangire and drive to Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge in Karatu, where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Krateret
After breakfast you will drive towards the Ngorongoro Crater. The entrance to the park is on the edge of the crater and the road down to the crater floor is steep. On the way down you will pass a vantage point where your guide will stop and give a briefing. Here you can enjoy the amazing view of this worldwide wonder, which is the largest unbroken crater in the world. Move down this 610 m deep crater for a fantastic safari on its crater floor. By late afternoon you will leave the crater and drive to Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Departure towards Lake Manyara National Park with packed lunch, after an early breakfast. After a drive of approx. 45 minutes, you will arrive at the national park. After your guide has arranged the paperwork at the main entrance, the day’s adventure will begin. Safari through the park’s evergreen forest and the open grasslands, to the lake, Lake Manyara, as well as to the end of the park, where you can see the park’s hot springs. The safari in this park’s landscape is truly unique. Later in the afternoon you will leave the park and drive back to Moshi/Arusha or your guide will drive you to the airport.
