The Kikuletwa Hot Springs, also known as Maji Moto, is one of the hidden gems of Tanzania that you need to visit. A paradisaical oasis surrounded by the Tanzanian savannah. Although the animals of the savannah migrated from this area long ago, it is still home to many animal species, including a great bird variety.
Garra rufa fish inhabits the water so when in the water you may feel the small fish come nipping at your feet as if you were in a fish spa.
Despite the name – hot springs – the water is more lukewarm, which is nicely refreshing especially on a hot day.
With its captivating, almost unreal, turquoise crystal-clear water you can easily see the bottom, which is covered with big tree roots and boulders. The water is surrounded by palm trees and fig trees creating a secluded feeling. Visiting Kikuletwa Hot Springs is a most relaxing experience, perfect after a Kilimanjaro og Meru hike or a safari adventure.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi at 9:30am and head to Kikuletwa Hot Springs. Your guide will introduce you to this jewel and set up your picnic table with beverages, coffee and tea. Your packed lunch can be enjoyed when its time for it and your guide will drive you back to your hotel in the mid afternoon.
