For those interested in visiting the Tanzania’s less frequently visited parks, be it their first safari or the second after they had previously visited the Northern circuit. You will be amazed on the vastness, remoteness and how untouched and wild these parks are.

The previously largest in Tanzania, Ruaha National park, the Selous game reserve (now Nyerere National Park) which is now the largest in Africa, Udzungwa, Mikumi & Saadani offers a unique wilderness experience.

You will be able to enjoy the very rare animal species that do not appear in the Northern circuit, such as the majestic Sable and roan antelopes. Selous has the last true stronghold for the African wild dog.

The drive between the parks can be lengthier than in the northern circuit, therefore more safari days are recommended when planning to explore the southern circuit parks.
